Josh: How does my credit impact my ability to buy a house?

Samira: That’s a good question, because if you were to take two families, the Smith and the Jones, and the Smiths had excellent credit, and they bought in a neighborhood which all the houses are pretty much identical except for the garage being on different sides, and things of that nature, and the Jones don’t have good credit, then what’s going to happen is, is that the Smiths are going to pay about a thousand dollars less a month, because they have good credit, than the Jones.

Josh: So over the life of a mortgage … [inaudible 00:00:38] Samira: Big freaking jump.

Josh: Yeah.
